Deepika Padukone will be sharing screen space with Superstar Rajinikath for the first time in Kochadaiyaan.
‘It was great working with him. I did not feel any pressure. I must say even though he is a big star, he is like a child. He is very excited on the sets. He comes with full energy. He greets everyone including artists, technicians, and also his daughter Soundarya, who is the director,’ the leggy actress said.
‘I think he and Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) are the two actors that I have come across, who are so excited about their job…you can see the passion in their eyes,’ she said.
For Kochadaiyaan, a new technique called performance capturing was used, which was new to Deepika. ‘We have used a new technique called performance capturing, this is used abroad like in ‘Tin Tin’. In this technique actors are not required to shoot entire scene, only their expression and various emotions like tears are captured and everything else is done digitally. It is almost like animation meets reality,’ the 26-year-old said.
‘It is very new for me. I started understanding it after I finished doing it. It is very complex process, where emotions are captured separately and then with the help of digital platform and post-production they will create these characters and make it look real. It will not look like animation it will look real,’ she said.
This film is slated to release in December this year.
